I was using devilspie + Eterm to stick a terminal on the desktop, but it stopped working on 22 January: every terminal is moved on the left-up corner of the screen (I have tried even with gnome-terminal with the same effect). The strange thing is that it does work in fluxbox, but not in gnome!
I have already tried downgrading devilspie, but it was useless. Anyone alse had this problem?
I have looked at the upgraded packages of 21 and 22 January and here is the list of the packages that could have broken it:
[01/21/07 11:17] upgraded glib2 (2.12.7-1 -> 2.12.9-1)
[01/21/07 11:17] upgraded libidn (0.6.3-1 -> 0.6.10-1)
[01/21/07 11:17] upgraded libxaw (1.0.2-1 -> 1.0.3-1)
[01/21/07 11:17] upgraded perl-xml-simple (2.15-1 -> 2.16-1)
[01/22/07 11:02] upgraded libxml2 (2.6.26-1 -> 2.6.27-1)
[01/22/07 11:02] upgraded libxslt (1.1.17-1 -> 1.1.20-1)
[01/22/07 11:02] upgraded poppler (0.5.4-2 -> 0.5.4-3)
I know that this are not directly related to devilspie, but libwnck that is the only dependece of devilspie was upgraded on 19 January so it couldn't be it and I have already tried downgrading it.
Maybe I miss some dependencies? I was using some -git, -compiz packages related to gnome and xgl, but I removed them all when I decided I didn't need xgl. A cupple of them complained when i wanted to update them with the equivalent non -cvs or -compiz package so i had to pacman -Rd them.... But that was between 18 and 19 January.... and I have checked all the dependencies of devilspie....

Today I have noticed another strange thing: devilspie + Eterm works IF I chose "Aero" as window decoration, but it doesn't work with the others... :shock:
