[SOLVED]Brightness and audio quality worsened after latest arch update

When setting brightness on brightnessctl to something like 20 the actual brightness would be 2, I'll put what ever 10 went to
10 => 1
20 => 2
30 => 4
40 => 6
50 => 10
60 => 14
70 => 19
80 => 25
90 => 31
100 => 39
110 => 47
120 => 56
130 => 66

... (matching from here on)

the audio I can't really describe it but the quality just got a lot worse and it sounds incredibly muffled

I would like to say I think the issue is with my front speakers? I'm unsure but I'm hoping there's a simple way to fix them here is

The brightness issue was definitely a kernel issue as switching to linux-lts fixed it, though the audio was still muffled, I tried
I believe that the brightness issue was because of an issue with the kernel since switching to linux-lts fixed it but I went back to the main one, I'll likely switch back sometime later, but switching to linux-lts didn't fix the audio issues at al

speaker-test -D pulse -t wav -c 8

all the channels seem so I don't think the issue is related to channels not working, though when I tried it yesterday the front channels weren't outputting audio the audio still sounds as muffled today as it did yesterday

I just -Syu'd and the update fixed the audio, so it was definitely a firmware issue likely with realtek, with the surround-4.0 until now I was only able to use analog-stereo as any other setting would produce no sound

Brightness is still an issue but it's alot more bearable than the sound so I'll either go back to linux-lts sometime or wait for the next kernel update to help

Sorry I fixed it, also that was the issue I just added

amdgpu.dcdebugmask=0x40000

to etc/default/grub and it fixed it, thanks!
