Problem with controller vibration

I'm new to arch and I've bought a Machenike G6 Pro Starlink. All it's inputs are processed correctly by the system, but the controller does not vibrate in any way via the dongle, only using the cable. It's not a dongle problem as passing it through to a Windows VM the rumble works.
The capacity to rumble is also detected by fftest and evtest (https://pastebin.com/VAn421ze)

The dmesg log (https://pastebin.com/5gemnX8j) is show an error when receiving the magic package (-100)

I tried to repeat the steps in this reddit thread (https://old.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/c … henike_g5/) that are also referenced in this  guide (https://epomaker.com/blogs/guides/mache … d-on-linux), but it didn't work. Now I've deleted the files/configuration that I had and don't now what to try next.

Anyone know what can I do next?

Re: Problem with controller vibration

lawl - when a chinese knockoff cost more on aliexpress than the official one directly from M$ - sure must be fine quality ...

... anyway, as for your issue: if using a cable works but not wifi it could be:
- the dongle is detected differently / as a different device
- due to the above a different power profile is applied interfering with the rumble

this is just a guess - use lsusb to verify
if the manufacturer has done its job well the dongle should identify itself the same as the controller itself connected wired but hide its bridging

as for gamepads itself: never gave wireless controllers any chance - but boy did I hate the original wii-mote and its design (fun fact: the wii's IR "sensor" bar isn't a sensor but only an IR blaster - the receiver is in the remotes and I have no idea how position and aim is even calculated this way)
still using an original official m$ x360 wired pad to this day (its my second, actually, as I pinched the wire of my first one - after I got my new one I reinforced the cable with about 3 or 4 layers of duct tape - still works perfect as new)
