[SOLVED] heic image format support for Gwenview

Even after installation of kimageformats and libheif I see error "Gwenview cannot display documents of type image/heif".
As I understand default Gwenview does not support HEIC image format?
I saw this ticket:
https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/74754
So I think there is no way to enable heic, without rebuilding it from source code, right?

That ticket says it supports hiec just fine, you just have to install the optional dep.

Ok I've installed qt-heif-image-plugin, and everything works.

Completely not needed. Again, read the optional deps.

In my case, I had to install the "qt6-heif-image-plugin" package.

Optional Deps   : kamera: import pictures from gphoto2 cameras
                  kimageformats: support for xcf, exr, psd, and more image formats [installed]
                  qt6-imageformats: support for tiff, webp, and more image formats [installed]

durandal, look at the optional dependencies for kimageformats .
