[SOLVED] External display does not connect after update

Hi

Right after a reboot on sys update, including this guidance https://archlinux.org/news/linux-firmwa … ervention/
The external monitor does not connect to laptop anymore

the journal does not log anything

That's the simplydumb device, your graphics stack doesn't properly work at all.

The kernel module doesn't operate the device and you don't have linux-firmware-amdgpu - so…

Edit: you probably also want https://archlinux.org/packages/core/any … e-atheros/
