FWIW while I don't have enough data yet to really infer something. I have some weird performance issues ever since the 6.15 kernels on my 6900XT where games will "feel" stuttery and GPU usage relatively high. Changing the power profile during runtime to "high" (weirdly enough, creating an udev rule to the same effect that would set this early doesn't fix this, only a toggle when actually running things) will bring things back to expected levels. (e.g. SF6 will show 65% GPU usage and a very notable stutter (though that's not reflected in FPS counters like mangohud), after switching profile the usage drops to 30% and things working fine)
AFAIK 6.15 introduced some dynamic power profile switching based on workload but seems not entirely quirkless yet. Potentially related upstream reports: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/-/issues/4263 https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/-/issues/4262

Aha! Indeed, setting the power level to "high" fixes it! ... "low" also fixes it! Seems conclusive that this is an "auto" issue. (Only tested on X11, sofar.)

Because you might otherwise crossing the moment where the KDE display server default changed)
I've been running wayland, and, yes, only downgrading linux-firmware.
Other than that, apparently this hinges on the signal size.

Kernel compilation with both patches and restart complete: no such luck. Flickering as ever (on X11).

I found some odd behaviour regarding the screen flicker and the double mouse, I can only reproduce it when my screen refresh rate is set to 1920x1080 165 Hz. Any other resolution/refresh rate combo does not reproduce the issue.

Damn, that was it. I disabled VRR on my monitor OSD menu, and now 165 Hz works correctly. Thx for the help

Yo, disabling "AMD Free Sync" via monitor OSD fixes it on both wayland and X11! Thanks a lot! (No drirc here, in KDE menu checked as "automatic" on wayland, don't see an option on X11).

But apparently here it's a bug in the amdgpu kernel module since it's display server agnostic.
On x11 you could try xf86-video-amdgpu and https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Variab … _on_AMDGPU and see whether that driver handles this better.
Also check "glxinfo -B" and make sure you're not somehow using zink (OpenGL via vulkan, there've been issues where zink was picked in recent mesa versions and vulkan implementations tend to have more problems w/ the vblank control)
