[SOLVED] Boot partion has run out of space

When trying to update my system through Pacman, I have found that the boot partition is now full causing the update to fail.

I was hoping someone would be able to give me some guidance as I don't know how to proceed without expanding the boot partition which I don't want to do unless necessary. My boot partition is 405Mb, when I look at Gparted, there is 196Mb used on the partition, however this is essentially all the available space (I assume this is normal and the rest of the partition is reserved in some way?). Do you know if there is anything that I can remove which would allow me to free up space on the partition? I have included a screen shot below of the boot partition folders and files. I am wondering as there appear to be multiple grub folders, whether somehow there is more here than is required?

Boot partition:

GParted:

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Apologies I'm aware this is a basic question but I am nervous of messing around with this and messing up my system further.

Thanks

please post console output instead of images
anyway - you seem to have accessed the ESP from windows as it contains RecyleBin and SysVolInfo - both not usually appear on an ESP
also: clean out all those fschk.rec - one is more than 30mb!

Re: [SOLVED] Boot partion has run out of space

Ok, thanks, regarding the images, I will do in future, sorry. Yeah I duel boot with windows and must have accessed it at some point.

Is it safe to delete all of the fschk.rec files or do I need to leave one? I did have a look at what they were but couldn't see what they were used for!

So I will delete the RecycleBin and SysVolInfo, as well as the fschk.rec files (assuming it is safe to delete all of them)

Thanks

Re: [SOLVED] Boot partion has run out of space

Oh, I see the fsck.rec files are due to the system not being shut down correctly. there was a period where sometime the system wouldn't shut down correctly and this is recording this for analysis.

Thanks
