Hi everyone,
I have a new installation of Arch, and I've been trying to use a USB serial connection through Termius.
When I try to initialize a connection I am presented with the following message: Connection can not be established: Error: Operation not permitted, cannot open /dev/ttyUSB0
I have also attempted the connection through PuTTY and receive the same error message of "Operation not permitted"
I have added my user to both the uucp and tty groups, but I am still unable to connect.
I have also run chmod a+rw /dev/ttyUSB0 I have no success either.
Could there be something I am missing, or something else I could try?
I appreciate the assistance!

ls -l shows caller's permissions on files. try to connect as 'root' user.

Thank you for the response. The /dev/ttyUSB0 device is owned by root and is in the root group.
I'm going to try running Termius and PuTTY as root, but I've left my laptop at work.
It's a holiday weekend where I am at, and unless I can stop by the office to pick it up, I may have to wait until Monday to give it a try.
I will keep you posted. Thank you again.
