Hello
I try to get "Last of Us Part 1" and FSR4 on my AMD 9070XT to work. The Game is installed via Steam and it should work since patch v.1.1.5 (released 03.07.25) with FSR4.
I know it works on my machine, since I have a dual boot system with archlinux and windows. On the windows side it worked out of the box. On the linux side I only get FSR 3.1 offered.
I have an up to date archlinux and all recent amd, mesa packages installed.
I am not sure where to start? What packages I might to have installed to get FSR4 to work? I would prefer the out of the box experience not via optiscaler or some other hacks.
Maybe somebody can point me in the right direction.
Thanks in advanced.

This cachyOS forum thread has some info .
I haven't been able to find the commits/merge request that enabled mesa fsr4 support, but mesa 25.1.0 was branched off around april 16 .
This makes it very likely the changes are only in mesa 25.2 trunk builds at the moment.
You should try one of the aur packages for mesa git builds or wait until mesa 25.2 becomes the next stable version sometime in august.
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Thank you very much.
That was the hint I was looking for. I was under the impression Mesa 25.1 had already FSR4 support, but you probably right. Mesa 25.2 will just implement it and suppose to give the out of the box experience without messing to much around.
I have to be patient and will wait for 25.2.
Thanks again, much appreciated.
