Bluetooth connectivity challenges

Just installed Arch, and I could use help on getting it to recognize bluetooth devices. It doesn't recognize any of them. I've checked rfkill list and nothing is blocked. I've enabled and started bluetooth.service, executed bluetoothctl to turn the power on and scan. All my devices were individually tested in pairing mode. When I scan, all i can see is the following:

[bluetoothctl]> scan on
SetDiscoveryFilter success
Discovery started
[CHG] Controller E8:...:C6 Discovering: yes

I saw somewhere else that having a parallel windows installation might be a problem? My Arch is on an SSD separate from my Windows SSD if that proves to be a crucial detail.

Re: Bluetooth connectivity challenges

bluetoothctl hight level cli that requires bluetoothd (dbus-)service running on the background.
a bit more low level 'hcitool' have not suck requirements:)

May have requires run as 'root'.

Unfortunately, that didn't work either. I've read that realtek chipsets are just a nightmare for linux so I've decided just to get a usb bt dongle. Thank you though!
