Hi
Pacman is downloading very slowly, to the point where it times out. I get this message while running reflector:
reflector -c GB -l 5 -f 5 --save /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist

No matter what filters I apply, all servers get the same issue. When running pacman -Syu it downloads at about 100-500kb/s before failing.
My internet connection is fine otherwise its just pacman.
Any ideas?

Actually, I just ran a speed test and it says my connection is slow. Which is odd because I'm able to stream video and browse pretty seamlessly, and other devices on my network are fast.

Sanity check

Plugged in an ethernet cable, after a few minutes of nothing happening I now have pacman working. So I guess its an issue with my wifi, whcih is odd because I haven't changed anything.

Installing broadcom-wl and rebooting caused the wifi adapter to not work at all, previously I had a slow connection but now its dead
Here's the log from that boot: http://0x0.st/8D2s.txt

You can try linux-lts, linux-lts-headers and broadcom-wl-dkms, but even then that's not a long term solution.
Do you have https://archlinux.org/packages/core/any … -broadcom/ ?

Maybe, if wl still works on the lts kernel, that can carry you until brcmsmac gets more usable?
