KDE Plasma has been having several issues lately

Hi all,

I'm not sure what's going on, but my KDE Plasma has been experiencing multiple errors over the past few weeks. Most of the issues seem to happen when I interact with the KDE Plasma panel — like clicking on widgets or interacting with system tray elements.

Here's a screenshot of one of the problems I encountered recently:

Re: KDE Plasma has been having several issues lately

Are all "multiple errors" rendering errors and are they all tied to the bottom panel (assuming you object to the tetris-design there)?
Wayland or X11?

qdbus6 org.kde.KWin /KWin supportInformation

Does it require you to have a fullscreen or maximized window (in the foreground)?

I'm using Wayland.

No, I don't think so. It happens randomly when I interact with the panel, e.g., clicking an app icon.

The issue shown in the screenshot just happened for the first time — previously, the crash usually occurred when I clicked an application icon. The panel would freeze or become unresponsive, and then a message would pop up saying "plasmashell has stopped working."

Check your (previous) system journal(s) about that, there's probably more informative debug messages to be had there.
