problems with kino

Hello,

I'm new under Arch Linux and I installed it on a PC. Everythings went OK (thanks for docs !) exept with kino.
I only use current and community (extra) repositories (No testing or unstable)

Kino is installed but when I start if (from a Konsole and in user, not in root !), I got this error message :

kino : symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libavcodec.so.51: undefined symbol: faacDecOpen

I searched internet about this problem and I always arrived on Mplayer problem in FC6 (uprade from 5 to 6). To solve the problem (in FC6) it has to remove some dependenties (faac and faad2) and install the previous version of it.

Is someone got this problem ?
Any help or ideas is welcom big_smile

Thanks in advance.

Re: problems with kino

I fixed it, but I don't remember exactly how.
You need to reinstall ffmpeg. But I think you need a new
faad2 to before compiling ffmpeg.
This kind of trouble is usually fixed quite quickly in Arch,
but this has lingered for a while...
