Laptop screen turning gray randomly

my laptop screen just turns gray randomly and freezes. when i press the power button my monitor freezes aswell forcing me to hold it more to force a restart.

Did you bother to click the linked threads?
The second one suggests that this is triggered by the power-profiles daemon, ie. likely some power saving stuff.
If you can, and as discussed in the first thread, a journal illustrating the context would assist to gauge the situation.
