I started to have recently some issues with Steam while using Hyprland. I was hoping to see if someone has the same error. I was able to replicate the same error 10th times xD
First, I open Steam, next I connect my Xbox controller and I open a game. 5 minutes later in the game Steam starts to show me pop ups showing there is a "New controller Firmware" (Sometimes says Sony, Sometimes Audio Driver, doesn't really matter cause there are random errors), then, Steam starts to open Steam Runtime Information.
This was the output of running steam on terminal. Sorry if there is no much information, i'm kinda newbie.
If someone can help me to understand what it happening so I can learn something new + fix this thing I will be so happy.

Same experience here, both in Hyprland and Sway (Swayfx) but not in Plasma. No idea how to fix it.

I was experiencing the same thing. I managed to mitigate it by disabling Steam's in game overlay.
