As the title states the battery does not charge beyond the last recorded percentage prior to unplugging, even when reconnected to AC power.
For example, if I used my laptop for a while and the battery drained to 65%, plugging it in again would not charge it past 65%.
It will stay at that percentage indefinitely.

Tried everything the manual said but after a restart i run into the same problem.
The battery will drain and when the charger is plugged in, not charge any further.

"echo 1 > /sys/bus/platform/drivers/ideapad_acpi/VPC2004:00/conservation_mode" is transient, it will not survive a reboot.
The main question is whether this is the problem at all.
Does the battery stop draining when you plug the charger?
Is it already < 60%?
Can you charge the battery while
1. the notebook is powered down
2. some other OS or the UEFI is running?

When i plug the charger in the battery stops draining.
Then when i look into the battery tab it says the battery is already full.
The notebook is relatively new so I'm not sure yet about it charging while powered off, will try today.
i did not have the problem while distrohopping on this laptop yesterday, might have to test again.
Also i noticed earlier that if i close the lid and opened it up again it will resume charging as normal, all the way to 100%.

When i plug the charger in the battery stops draining.
So at least it's not a physical issue.
Then when i look into the battery tab it says…
acpi -abi
tail -n1000 /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/* Offline
