I've been trying to launch the native Linux version of CS2 but every time it crashes before start up (on the Valve title screen) and giving the error message: "Vulkan encountered unrecoverable error VK_ERROR_DEVICE_LOST", and if I try to launch it again without restarting the computer it crashes the whole PC.
I've tried to use Proton as a compatibility tool instead of "Steam Linux Runtime 3.0 (Sniper)" and the game launched successfully, but I couldn't get into online matches as the Valve Anti-cheese system gave the error message:
"Some of your game files have been detected to have no signatures or invalid signatures. You will not be allowed to join VAC secure servers. Please verify your launch options, check correctness of your game installation, restart the game and try again."
I have Steam installed through the command line and not through flatpak and my laptop's specs are:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700U (8) @ 2.30 GHz
GPU: AMD Radeon Vega 10 Graphics [Integrated]
And my driver is amdgpu.
I know my laptop's specs aren't the best but it should still be able to run CS2 since I used to play it on Windows 11 before I migrated, and it did at least launch with Proton so I'm not sure as to where the issue can be.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance! <3

Welcome to the Arch Forums!!! Hope you like it ![]()
Sorry for my bad english.
Have you tried to enable/use vulkan-radeon or amdvlk after reading this wiki article? . This may be the issue.
Try to install vulkan-tools package and run vkcube, lets see if your drivers are configured correctly.
And absolutely just as a sanity check, have you read This? . I know you probably done this, i am just want to make sure.
Have you used vulkan before on your system?
