Wacom Cintiq click and tap behaviour

Hello. First post here as complete newb so excuse the naivety.

I've been trying to ditch annoying Windows for Arch Linux (KDE Plasma-Wayland) and as for the most part, it's been going smoothly so far. The only main issue (and it's an important one since I'm mainly 3d sculpting on the computer) I have is with my Wacom Cintiq stylus behavior. Even though most of the functions are supported, I can't find a way to enable the "click and tap" behavior (stylus button click activating only if it's touching the screen). The default click while hovering creates many inconveniences while working, like missclicks and on some occasions clicks getting stuck. Any help towards a solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Have a look at this: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Graphics_tablet
You probably need to create a udev rule for your stylus: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Udev

Re: Wacom Cintiq click and tap behaviour

Thanks for the answer. From what I found there is no easy way to achieve this on Wayland which is a strange omission. I hope we'll it get in a future update.

Have you tried to see if you can do it with XWayland?

Re: Wacom Cintiq click and tap behaviour

I saw that option but it really confuses me. I don't how to start with it and where libinput will end and input-wacom will start. I feel like it's way over my level and I don't want to mess up my system.

The funny thing is that there is a tap to click option in the settings for the touchpad but not the stylus. Still searching if I'm missing something obvious.
