When trying to install lutris, it says the filesystem is read only?

When I try installing lutris it says "error: failed to init transaction (unable to lock database)
error: could not lock database: Read-only file system" Why? And how do I solve it?

Hi!

Please tell us more. Are you trying to install lutris from the extra repo in arch https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/any/lutris/ ? Or are you trying to install it using flatpak ? Have you tried to update the pacman database ? I'm assuming that you had done that, but in case you don't, do "sudo pacman -Syu" to update your entire system first. As you said,  are you  having problem to finish the installation of lutris right ?

1. sudo  pacman -Rns lutris (just to be sure)
2 . sudo pacman -Syu (as "Succulent of your garden" mentioned but you didn't answer if you did)
3. sudo pacman -S lutris

Make sure you run sudo pacman -Syu on a regular basis.
