Hello. I have an old Floppy Drive on USB. I want to format floppy trough it and copy files on it.
When I try to access it trough Thunar I get an error:
Error mounting /dev/sdb at /run/media/skilowi/disk: can't read superblock on /dev/sdb.So I went to read manual: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Floppy_disks
while using ufiformat I get error:
/dev/sg* family: No such file or directoryI am stuck on modprobing the "sg" module. Cant find it in my /lib/modules directory.
After I bit googling I assume its "SCSI Generic driver". I installed "sg3_utils" with pacman but still module is not found. Cant see any related packages to this. What must I do to get this module? Is it fault of kernel?
My Kernel:
6.15.8-zen1-2-zen

Is your running kernel the same as installed?
$ uname -r
$ ls -ld /usr/lib/modules/*
$ modinfo sg?
