Can't get Minecraft running on dGPU

I installed Minecraft recently but it was running on my iGPU, I searched up and here are the results to the different solutions:

configuring profiles in nvidia-settings:
result: nothing.

$prime-run minecraft-launcher

or

$__NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia Minecraft-launcher

result:

Re: Can't get Minecraft running on dGPU

Can you use the GPU otherwise? e.g. what does a

prime-run glxinfo -B

give you? minecraft is often generally a special case, also if possible somewhere, try to apply the GPU changing environment variables only to the actual minecraft launch, not the launcher (speaking of which, if this is the official minecraft launcher that had weird bugs here anyway, I'd test prismlauncher or so, there you can definitely configure pre-launch commands just for the minecraft you're intending to start)

yes I can use the GPU, using prime-launcher seemed to do the trick but I would like to know if I could use the official Minecraft launcher

Re: Can't get Minecraft running on dGPU

Also, if you don't mind the waste, you could disable the iGPU from BIOS by selecting the "Discrete Graphics" option (or a similar one). Your computer will be forced to use the dGPU afterwards.
