Splash for n00B

Hello all.

If I read correctly, I can have a splash with my wonderful system & a standart kernel ?
What sould I do ? is it dangerous ?
What are the specifications for the splash ?

Have a look at http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Bootsplash for Pointers. smile I use the beyond-Kernel for that and it works perfect.

Bootsplash is obsolete. There is no more bootsplash packages for Arch. Better use gensplash instead: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Gensplash

Whoopsie. Thanks for the  correction. I actually used Snowmans Link to set up my Splash, too. Sorry. hmm
