Beryl goes black after switching to console

I have this issue when I have beryl turned on. If I switch to console (alt+ctrl+F1) and then try to go back to my xsession. I get a black screen instead of my desktop. If I am lucky enough to be able to go back to tty1 I am able to get my desktop back by killing beryl. Has anyone else experienced this? I have an u2date beryl from the unstable repository. My video card is nvidia geforce 5200fx. Using the 9631 drivers (i think that's the number).

If you can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

Re: Beryl goes black after switching to console

So the solution would be to remove vga=xxx line from grub.conf and/or disable vesafb in the kernel?
