How can I securely use SuperBLT and mods with Arch Linux?

How can I securely use SuperBLT and mods with Arch Linux? (Isolated prefix, DLL safety, etc.)

I'm looking for advice on how to safely use SuperBLT and mods, particularly regarding:

Isolating the game environment or creating a separate Wine prefix

Best practices for sandboxing

Any tools or techniques recommended in the Arch

I’d really appreciate any tips or suggestions. Thanks in advance!

I am aware SuperBLT is open source but i just want to be safe.

Use a separate Wine prefix (WINEPREFIX=~/.wine_payday2), install only required dependencies, and run via Firejail or a flatpak sandbox for isolation. Validate SuperBLT's DLL checksum and build from source if unsure. Avoid downloading mods from untrusted sources. Backup regularly.

I'm having issues creating a separate Wine/Proton prefix. The new prefix is created correctly and all the necessary files are generated. However, the original prefix in the Steam directory keeps getting recreated, even after I delete it and disable Steam Cloud.

When I checked whether the game was using the correct prefix, it seemed like both the original Steam prefix and the new one I created were being used at the same time. I confirmed this by running " ls -lt payday2-prefix " Both the original Steam prefix and a separate one were showing file changes simultaneously.

Re: How can I securely use SuperBLT and mods with Arch Linux?

as this is specific for the Game PayDay2 it would fit better here: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewforum.php?id=32 - and it would also be helpful if the games name is in the title as "SuperBLT" could be anything
I requested a mod for moving and updating the title
