[SOLVED] GNOME Apps not responding when closing via toolbar

Today I came upon an interesting issue that I have a lot of issues on how to debug.

For some reason when I close most of my gnome or gnome-related apps through the x button in the toolbar, they refuse to close and shortly after the "not responding" dialog shows up which allows me to force quit the apps. Waiting has no effect, they never get responsive again.

This only happens with gnome-related apps (gnome-console, gnome-software, gnome-calendar, loupe, etc.). I have looked into journalctl, but nothing appears in those logs.

I know, this is not the place to report bugs for gnome or gnome apps, but I do not have this issue on the same version of gnome on my laptop. I am mainly looking for ways to investigate this issue. Do you know of ways to see more logs or whatever helps to find out why this is happening?

1) Update your system. nVidia, right?

Yes, NVIDIA.

Adding the following to ~/.config/environment.d/envvars.conf works.
