on an acer 5102 aspire laptop, beyond kernel, configured form the wiki, it works well, except that the wxga resolution, achieved with the 915resolution hack, is not the resolution that appears after resuming.
if I suspend from X, then when it gets resumes ,the resolution is restored at 1024x768, can pan to see the other stuff cut off,
and on top of that, i cant change the x resolution because the ctrl alt numpad minus key combination to change it somehow doesnt work because the function key somehow interferes.
its more a matter of restarting 915resolution with each resume by having an
RestartServices 915resolution
/etc/hibernate/common.conf, is it question of calling xrandr to set thing straight after a resume?
Thanks in advance

Read the man page for hibernate.conf. There is a specific option to run 915resolution early enough to solve your problem.

yeah, that works; should have seen that option as its commented out in one of the config files in /etc/hibernate
