After updating to 16.16.0 or 16.16.1 the touchpad of my laptop stops working. Everything else seems to be working without issues.
Downgradig to linux-6.15.9 fix the issue.
My Laptop is a Lenovo Thinkbook 16 G6 and touchpad uses i2c.

I have the same problem with kernel 6.16.1 on a ThinkBook 14 G7 IML.
Also my touchpad does not work any more but everything else works properly.
Offline
With kernel 6.16.2 it seems to be resolved.

really?I can't find the change about the thinkbook touchpad in the change log.

Me neither, but there are some ACPI-related patches.
Anyway, with 6.16.2 I no longer get the error and the touchpad works.

For me 6.12.2 also fixes the issue.

I had the same issue on a Lenovo Ideapad Flex 5 15IIL05, I temporarily downgraded to Linux 6.15.8 but seems like that wasn't necessary (lol) as 6.16.2 does fix the issue and the touchpad works flawlessly now.
I hate the rabbit hole I have fallen down but the sunk-cost fallacy, pacman, and the AUR prevent me from picking up and moving to Fedora or something.
