Re: I can't suspend my laptop

HI

Have you tried looking at the boot logs with journalctl?

boot as normal, login as root so you can see all message types, open a terminal and use journalctl and grep to filter through the messages to find clues about what went wrong.
Make sure you are looking at the correct boot, because the messages go back for many previous boots; they are date stamped though.

I don't know how experienced you are, but try the below, replacing TEXT with text that might appear a log message about the problem you are having:

journalctl | grep TEXT

for example try:

journalctl | grep resume

or

journalctl | grep hibernate

Google what you find. Also, check out the docs for journalctl and grep

https://man.archlinux.org/man/journalctl.1
https://man.archlinux.org/man/grep.1

Hope that helps.

Re: I can't suspend my laptop

When you suspend, your screen goes black and unresponsive? Does the capslock key still light up? if so, I am having the same issue. A temporary fix is downgrading the kernel to 6.15.9 or booting with the linux-lts kernel.

I already made a post about it: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=307669

We haven't found a fix yet. Seems like a kernel bug. Use linux-lts until its fixed I guess.
