[solved] Kernel Panic

I performed updates yesterday before shutting the laptop down. Today I'm getting this Kernel Panic.

When booting, I'm not even asked for the password for drive encryption. Any idea what could be the issue?

Re: [solved] Kernel Panic

picture says initramfs could not be unpacked because the file (zstd) is truncated
Is your boot partition full?

Boot the install iso mount everything (installation root and optional esp/boot partitions) into place and check "lsblk -f"
If the boot partition isn't stuffed, try to arch-chroot into the system and regenerate the initramfs, pay attention to any errors.

That's a good hint! Thank you. I will check this in the evening.
Generally speaking, how much space would you assign to the boot partition nowadays?

EDIT: This was the issue, thanks! Unfortunately, my /mnt/boot is only 256M, so I can no longer afford to build a fallback initramfs. But at least I can boot again.

Thank you!
