Nautilus CPU Usage While SMB Transfer

Hello,

We use samba shares at the dormitory. I'm trying to download a whole directory from a friend's share (on a Windows computer) without any significant errors. The problem is, whenever I try to download some large directories from a samba share, Nautilus's CPU usage is about 60-70% and the file transfer is really slow. I don't know why it happens but it's really annoying. Anybody has an idea about it ?

Re: Nautilus CPU Usage While SMB Transfer

There are some problems with Nautilus+samba it seems. I've seen reports like these on ubuntu forums also and everybody said Konqueror (as file manager) does a lot better at transfering files through samba.
