I have been using Linux for almost 30 years now.
Been on Arch Linux for going on five years.
This is a first for me.
Maybe I am missing the obvious?
This probably has a simple solution but, so far, I have not been able to locate an answer!
(It is morning here and I am on my third cup of coffee, so my brain should be functional by now.)
Any suggestions on how to correct this?

Why do you even have gcc13 installed? It's mostly just a leftover.

it even has its own RFC https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc1918 from 1996!
everything within 192.168.0.0/16 is only valid within your own lan - there's absolutely nothing anyone could infere from it - except for some well known values like 192.168.178.0 for avm fritzbox or 192.168.179.0 for guest networks
but even from that the only thing one can get is that you're connected to an avm fritzbox either regular lan or guest network
same goes for 10.0.0.0/8 and 172.16.0.0 to 172.31.0.0
and even if you leak your public ip - unless you pay for fixed public ip regular customer connections usually get assigned random IP only giving away your ISP
jeez - why people so deep into "I fear to share a single number" when you willingly throw away pretty much all about you to the big tech companies, namely microsoft, apple, google, paypal, google ... if someone really wants to get you they will

gromit, Thanks for the suggestion to remove one "y". I did not realize I was adding to the server load. In my mind as in yours, it does not make sense to overkill (two y's) when one is sufficient.
WorMzy, thanks for moving this to AUR issue. I was not sure when I posted where to post it. Thanks again.
cryptearth, I was more focused on solving my issue than taking a moment for logical thought. I was simply commenting why my ip address ended in "***.***" to avoid any question regard that personal change. Yes, exposing my internal lan address would not have caused an issue internally.
Thanks everyone.

Also curious, why this should work. I am running archlinux on two machines in the same network. For one machine, this actually worked. For the other, it did not.

Our services may send an initial connection reset due to the TCP SYN authentication performed by our hosting provider, but subsequent requests should work as expected.

Just wanted to add this is not working at present, I'm currently getting both "429 rate limited" errors, and "EOF" errors, regardless of how many times I retry in quick succession. I haven't made AUR requests in several weeks, and I have a private static IP I know is not CGNAT/shared.
Additionally, RE:

while this could be the issue, I personally don't feel so, given responses ARE coming back timely (whereas IMO higher CPU usage would affect response times, no?)
EDIT: A moment later, it DOES seem to be working, so if you are coming to to this thread with similar issues, perhaps it's an intermittent thing.

(…) I personally don't feel so, given responses ARE coming back timely (whereas IMO higher CPU usage would affect response times, no?)
With DDoS there would was almost no responses, because your client (browser, AUR helper, …) is unable to even complete a TCP handshake. Much less successfully send the actual data or perform the TLS handshake. In this case the connection was successfully established and that was instant. Then either aurweb responded (slower or faster), or the connection was dropped without any data being sent.
A moment later, it DOES seem to be working, so if you are coming to to this thread with similar issues, perhaps it's an intermittent thing.
Shortly before you edited the post, the server has been coerced into behaving nicely. ![]()
