So i have 2 browsers vanilla Firefox and librewolf (Firefox based) installed from yay as librewolf-bin both only have 1 extension (ublock)
I had a post about powertop killing my wifi which turned out was it messing with my dpi bypass which then messed with my internet (i don't know if --auto-tune had messed with anything else or not)
After setting everything back up i can open youtube in both however only vanilla Firefox starts playback
I use librewolf as my main browser and i would like to try and fix it first before moving to something else
I don't know if it's a linux issue but i haven't updated it so i don't know what could have caused it to stop working
I tried reinstalling but it didn't help
Any help appreciated thanks

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/PulseA … do_no_play ??
systemctl status --user pipewire wireplumber pulseaudioOnline
Don't know much about that browser, but hw disabling has helped sometimes.
I found this by google search:
Disable Performance/Hardware acceleration.
Settings > General > Performance > uncheck both boxes, restart browser.

Toggling hw didn't help
I don't use pulse audio and vanilla firefox works fine
I tried user agent switcher since i found a couple similar issues but it didn't help

How do i downgrade it on linux?
Edit: turn out vanilla ff on linux is also 142 and it's the only one that plays very strange

So after trying to manually harden firefox i found that yt stops playing after setting
security.OCSP.require to true In about:config
Revert that and it's all fine again
I dunno if it's a recent change by yt or if dpi bypass is messing with me again but either way problem solved
Edit: switching from iwd to network manager also fixes the issue i assume it was dns related
