Hello
I'm using a ThinkPad USB-C Dock Gen 2 with a ThinkPad T14 Gen 5 AMD Ryzen 7.
I keep the laptop with lid closed connected to the docking station. When I suspend the laptop then, on other distro like Mint, I can press the power button on the docking station and the laptop would wake from suspend.
The problem here is that when I press the power button, then the laptop wakes from suspend (I can see from the led in the laptop) but it doesn't display anything on the connected monitor. If I open the lid and unlock it, the monitor doesn't even show up, on xrandr/arandr it's like the monitor is not connected. I have to un-plug and plug-in again the docking station to make the externl monitor show up.
I tried using LTS kernel, as suggested from another thread, but no luck.
Any idea on how to fix?

Another problem is that the output gets renamed every time I plug the docking cable... One time is "DP-7", the other time is "DP-6", meaning that I can't even rely on autorandr without having to do every time `autorandr -l docked --match-edid`.
And given that on waking from suspend the external monitor does not appear at all, I have to unplug and re-plug every time...

Anyone? Please...

I have the same issue with the renaming outputs. I solved it by enabling this match-edid in autorandr's config.

Thanks. How did you do that?
And the other problem is that after suspend the external monitor is not recognized at all, and I have to detach and re-attach the usb-c docking cable.

~/.config/autorandr/settings.ini
[config]
match-edid=trueI had the same issue but it was solved with later kernel updates. Can you force it with lspci -v?

After using
```
[config]
match-edid=true
```
No more problems! Amazing, thank you. I can wake from suspend pressing the docking station power button, wihtout opening the lid, and everything works as expected. Thanks so much.
