On my KDE environment pipewire got upgraded and lost all sound. Controls are all there in the environment but testing sound produces no ouput. speaker-test -l 1 also produces no sound. The new packages:

Solved by rm ~/.local/state/wireplumber/ and restarting the system.

Same thing here with a Scarlett 18i20. Deleting ~/.local/state/wireplumber/ has no effect for me.
I noticed the update also had rearranged my card ID #'s in /proc/asound/cards. I updated my /etc/asound.conf to reflect this. But still no sound.

Forgot to mention that in my sound card output it had changed the defaulto from headphones to normal stereo. That did it.
