The subforum Other Architectures has a description that says: Discussion about ArchPPC, i586 and other architectures. NOT ARM.
Can any of the forum administrators please remove the "NOT ARM" part?

I don't think that we should provide support for ARM on these forums.
Arch Linux ARM is a separate distribution, providing support and support channels for several ARM architectures.
I'd rather ask the question, why we offer support for i586 and PPC here anyways, since neither architecture is supported by Arch Linux anyways.

Yes, I agree that the project Arch Linux ARM (ALARM) shouldn't be discussed there, but on #archlinux-ports on IRC we are now several people who try our best to get a aarch64 port of Arch Linux running.

A sub-forum of the other architectures board dedicated to aarch64 might work .
How many current forum users do you estimate are among that group ?
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?

As of now, I think the existing subforum is enough. I just want the "NOT ARM" part gone :-)

although I currently still lack the hardware I'm very intetested in RISC-V
and as I got myself through LinuxFromScratch I might be able to setup a cross compiler
I see the issue with arm rather that most platforms don't support uefi but require a device tree specific to the board used - so it's a simple "port to arm" but rather support countless different boards - hence its usually the oems providing a distro based on thier choice

There is already an Arch dev maintaining a full port for RISC-V.

I agree that it would be good to stop explicitly forbidding ARM related posts, Arch Linux ARM can still be deferred to their support channels ... I have now also followed the "Other Architectures" subforum and will try to be a bit active in there

The description of OA no longer has "NOT ARM" and has been changed to hopefully make the purpose of the OA subboard more clear.
Keep in mind that discussions about other distros (like archlinuxarm.org & archlinux32.org) will still be closed & dustbinned, even in OA .
