Thinkpad Micro ethernet not connecting

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga (Gen 3)
ethernet micro adapter Part Number: 4X90Q84427 https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/p/accessor … 4x90q84427

When I plug in a RJ45 the wired interface is not detected.
The green light on the device does turn on.

I tried:
updating
rebooting
sudo systemctl restart NetworkManager

when unplugged iplink:
