Have you tried any other mirrors? European ones should be better for you.

Nothing really to add here except that I also experience the same problems.
Doesn't do much harm it seems, so i'm not really bothered by it.

By the way, after a little research in the forums, I saw the sortmirrors perl script and tried it.. But it doesn't work.. It just empties the pacman configuration files, thanks to my server, I backuped the files from the server and put back into my laptop. I think somebody should look through sortmirrors script again to check if it works or not..

The problem with sortmirror is a known issue. You can just try to use the mirror that is geographically closer to you. You can also check this list for (additionnal) mirrors and their location: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Mirror
