Hello, recently I started having problems with my plasma-shell.
After logging in, I can see the wallpaper and taskbar panel, but after a few seconds it crashes and the background turns black. It keeps crashing in a loop a few times.
However, everything else seems to work, my saved session is loaded and I'm able to launch programs using alt+F2.
I'm not sure what caused this, it used to work fine.
Before the crashes I did a system upgrade with pacman -Syu and among other things it updated the kernel from 6.16.7-arch1-1 to 6.16.8-arch1-1.
Just in case, I tried downgrading it to the previous version, and it seemed to help, but only for one boot. After the next boot it started crashing again.
So I reinstalled 6.16.8 and again, it worked fine for one boot but started crashing after the next one.
My PC: Intel i7-4770k, Radeon RX580 with the amdgpu driver, Plasma wayland session, rEFInd bootloader
journalctl -b logs:
6.16.8 (crash)
https://0x0.st/KTnY.txt
6.16.7 (no crash)
https://0x0.st/KT5q.txt
6.16.7 (crash)
https://0x0.st/KT5J.txt
Does anyone know what might be causing this?
Thank you

vesktop is electron based so that would fit and apparently it's an issue w/ notification handling.

I disabled the saved session and was able to launch plasma, and then removed the media player control from system tray. It doesn't crash anymore.
Thank you so much for your help!

Please always remember to mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.
Also you probably want to report your findings at the upstream bugs.
