I put up a post on my blog about why the Perl vs Python debate is meaningless. It's been reddited, dugg and dzoned and in the process gathered a fair bit of criticism, mostly related to the fact that I haven't really made any large pieces of software with Perl. So I've decided that to be fair to Perl, I'd better look into the language more seriously. Could anyone recommend a good web resource where i could learn Perl properly, preferably with a strong emphasis on writing practical programs?
Thanks
