Shutdown verbosity

I have two different Arch systems. Both set up very similarly with KDE as the desktop.

On the older one there is a silent shutdown. Only a single line of text appears.

On the other there is a large amount of shudown notifications. I would like to turn this off.

I've tried changing the loglevel of the kernel but that does nothing. Any idea where to change this?

Re: Shutdown verbosity

shutdown will print at the same level as startup by default, but you can actually alter that at runtime (ie. eg. also before the shutdown)
