An idea for Arch 0.8

Would it be possible to add elilo as a boot manager?

It's not that big so it wouldn't crash the base cd directly

And maybe we could win over some mac users?
I'm actually thinking of making a mac my next computer and I would love to be able to use my favorite linux distribution on it

I am curios about elilo. What is it? What differences does it have with lilo and grub?

Well it makes it possible to boot on a system that uses an EFI mainboard.

Mac uses EFI and because of that it's not possible to run linux on a mac without elilo.

AFAIK the latest grub in [current] has a patch that allows booting on Intel Macs.

Hmm well I used Bootcamp and installed Arch with Grub that way. Works fine. I'm guessing it would be possible to install Arch without Mac OSX at all using elilo?

because people might want to install arch without having to use boot camp?
