How do I turn on my IR?

Im trying to connect my cellphone to my computer with IR, but I don't know how to turn on the IR on the computer.

Well... firstly, if you're talking about activating IR at the hardware level, that's not an Arch issue. Secondly, if you want to have any hope of getting an answer, please provide as much detail as you can e.g. Make and model, BIOS settings, things you've already tried, etc.

I don't what Im talking about, that's the point I know I have IR, and I want to connect my phone trough it. That's all I know. I havn't tried anything yet because I don't know what to try. When I was In windows, all i needed to do was to install some drivers, and then point on it with my phone.

Could you tell me how I could find out what model it is?
