[SOLVED] Lenovo P1 Gen 7 - Speakers volume auto lowers

Hello,

I have a Lenovo P1 gen 7 laptop and I am experiencing speaker audio playback issues.

The issue is when I play audio with the build in speakers, it lowers the volume by itself after few seconds. If I pause and wait a bit and play again it will play with the correct audio level initially and lower the volume again after few seconds. Just to note, I tested with bluetooth headphones and this only happens with the built in speakers. And also the GUI volume level does not change.

I did some search and found few other reports of this bug but no solution.

Here are some dumps, please let me what else is needed.

lspci -v | grep audio
	Kernel driver in use: sof-audio-pci-intel-mtl
cat /proc/asound/cards
 0 [sofhdadsp ]: sof-hda-dsp - sof-hda-dsp

Please let me know how I can fix this issue.

Thanks in advance.

Re: [SOLVED] Lenovo P1 Gen 7 - Speakers volume auto lowers

I tried pulse audio as suggest in the reddit post and it did solve the issue.

But i would really like to get it working with pipewire. If anyone have any idea how to debug this, please let me know.

Thanks

Re: [SOLVED] Lenovo P1 Gen 7 - Speakers volume auto lowers

The issue seems to be fixed on kernal v6.17.1-arch1-1 and pipwire v1.4.9.

Thanks
