Hey guys, i had sound working fine, except one boot, it stopped working. Odd thing is, it works fine in Xmms, devices show under /dev/snd fine.. things play, just no audio. Xmms however, is able to play fine. I did notice though, that in my Gnom-volume controle, it always defaults to a device called C-media, which is not my sound card. My default sound card is a Soundblaster Live!. I have to go to Change device in the gnome-settings window to switch to SB live. I am able to tell Xmms directly to use my SBlive card to make it work, however this C-media PCI CMI8738-MC6 i believe is defaulting as the main sound device and nothing can play sound. I have no idea where this came from and im not sure how to get sound working everywhere else!
Thanks!
