vlc taking one way global keyboard shortcut input

Hello I am using KDE plasma desktop enviroment , my media key only pause the audio / video and does not resume it back when media key is pressed back

Does "playerctl play-pause" toggle the VLC playback and what action is your "media key" actually bound to?
