Re: Boot in to BIOS

Try DEL, F1, F2, F11, F12 ,ESC you must do this before Grub is loading

Have you tried to turn it off and on again?

Re: Boot in to BIOS

So the default should work?  I thought maybe it had gotten disabled, but I can't try it now anyway.  Since its a Toshiba I think it's F12 or F2.  Thanks.

Re: Boot in to BIOS

Your BIOS has absolutely nothing to do with grub, lilo, linux, or ANYTHING.  Your bios is there even if you have no hard drives what-so-ever.  I'd recommend reading the manual for your motherboard to determine the correct key to press to enter the BIOS.  fk listed the fairly common keys above.  Please note that this key usually has to be pressed within 5 seconds or so from the time you hit the power button.

Usually at a machine I'm unfamiliar with, I boot and jam on as many of the common keys as I can until it works.

Re: Boot in to BIOS

Thanks, that's what I figured...I just thought I had read somewhere that people couldn't access the BIOS, I must just be crazy.  I remember Toshiba laptops have some weird key combination.  Thanks for the help.
