Wrong Webdings fonts on 1password and browser

This is something that is really baffling me. I am struggling to get this sorted but I started experiencing this issue that for the sake of myself I can't understand where it's coming from.

I am in Gnome Wayland.

These are two examples I have one in firefox.

In this one I'm using the extension WhatFont to see what's the computed font

they can be replicated in Chrome so, definitely not something to do specifically with the browser.

currently fc-match gives me this:

$ fc-match serif
NotoSerif-Regular.ttf: "Noto Serif" "Regular"
$  fc-match sans-serif
NotoSans-Regular.ttf: "Noto Sans" "Regular"
$  fc-match monospace
NotoSansMono-Regular.ttf: "Noto Sans Mono" "Regular"

Firefox configuration is default, and I do have Noto font family installed, as well as dejavu e ttf-liberation (if you're wondering).

Regarding this instance, could you please post the output from running:

fc-match --verbose Inter

A similar issue also involving a font named "Inter": https://forums.informaction.com/viewtopic.php?t=25914
If you visit the data: URL from the 2nd post of that thread in Firefox, what do you see?

As a test, does the issue persist if you completely quit Firefox, move this file somewhere outside of ~/.local/share/fonts, and then run

fc-cache -frv

The webpage is probably looking for https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Inter - do you know where that file's coming from?

Somewhat expected the issue is gone without the file in question... Still baffled on why this is happening
