Hi,
I've seen a few threads about opencl and darktable, but they didn't help me. I have an nvidia GTX 960 card, using the nvidia drivers. Darktable does not see any valid openCL implementation. I've looked at https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/GPGPU and a number of other pages, but still no success
What's installed:
- official nvidia drivers
- opencl-nvidia (seems to be useless) and cuda
- opencl-mesa
- ocl-icd and ocl-icd-choose
Some output now.

Try removing ocl-icd-choose and rerun clinfo .

Ok, I feel stupid. It must have to do with the order I tried things in, though according to my history I installed things in this order, and at each step it was still failing in one way or another:
- opencl-nvidia
- cuda
- ocl-icd
- opencl-mesa
- ocl-icd-choose
I now removed ocl-icd-choose as suggested, and not only is the output of clinfo much longer, darktable now detected opencl and it just works.
For reference, clinfo output as requested. But as said, it now seems to work anyway.

One thing to keep in mind :
opencl-mesa is rusticl and (on archlinux) doesn't enable any driver support by default.
You have to manually enable the driver you want to use , see https://docs.mesa3d.org/envvars.html#en … ICL_ENABLE
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

Noted! I was not sure what driver name to try, thanks for sharing the right docs. Now I can see it would only be useful if I was on the nouveau driver, but currently I'm using the official nvidia one, so the opencl-nvidia package was indeed the one I needed!
