About Greek Mirror

Hi Guys,

I live in Istanbul/Turkey and I was using ftp.archlinux.org until now since I've read the post about pacman's mirror status.. (especially after having problems with ftp.archlinux.org) It's said in the Wiki to take the geographically closest mirror to my location so I decided to use Greek mirror.. As far as I can see (it is also said in the wiki how to check it) it's a up2date mirror.. But can somebody please verify that it works without any problems ?

Thanks a lot..

Re: About Greek Mirror

By the way, I don't know why but my download rate of pacman packages are really slow and limited nearly to 10-20 Kb/sec.. sad It was also like that when I was using ftp.archlinux.org ..

Re: About Greek Mirror

Try the other protocol (ftp vs. http) or try using another european mirror.

Re: About Greek Mirror

I am using the Greek mirror of Arch Linux with no problem.
Fast and up2date.
(ftp.ntua.gr)
It is located in National Technical University of Athens, at a server with great upload speed.
Don't know why you have so slow download speeds.

Re: About Greek Mirror

I guess it's because of the bad ADSL dl rates.. Thanks for you replies.. Early this morning, pacman was complaining about gdm being corrupted but it's fine right now i guess..
