Hi all.
I recently purchased a fantastic new laptop, however it has the relatively obscure Motorcomm Microelectronics YT6801 Ethernet controller. I have found many people have issues with loading a driver for this, and I tried the AUR package `yt6801-dkms`, to no avail, and ifconfig etc reports no eth0 interface after installing that.
I'm wondering if anyone has an idea how to load the driver for this module properly?
Thanks in advance!

Okay, worked out more of the issue. When I install `tuxedo-yt6801-dkms-git`, it fails to build against the kernel because of missing kernel headers. Any ideas?

install the kernel headers? e.g. linux-headers or linux-lts-headers depending on the kernel you're using: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Dynami … stallation
